I hate that the 'End Now' button doesn't really mean end NOW. It means I get to wait 5 minutes for the program to end so that I can go back to what I was doing. Thank you, Windows Task Manager.

You're complaining about how PCs suck, but your username says otherwise? I'm missing something here... In any case, Macs are by far superior to PCs. End of story.

end now never works, u have to use end process. ^^macs are better for ppl who like to do what apple tells them there allowed to do. pcs are better for ppl who want to do what they want with there computer

I don't like those buttons because they take so long and it doesn't just "X" out of one window, all of them get knocked out. Last year, I did Mac vs. PC as an abbrieviation for an English class. I like iPods, but I prefer the PC. At our school library, the Macs only let us have one Safari window up at a time. I also hate the way Apple groups things on computers.

There's another tab in Task Manager which allows you to end the processes themselves, which will instantly kill whatever you're after. If you're not sure about the specific process name, you should be able to right-click the name of the program you're after and "Go to process".
