I hate it when people take their young child in public and put them on a leash. When did kids become pets?

I think it's good if they're at a really busy mall or amusement parks, though. They can get kidnapped.

Leashes are better than nothing.. it's not cruelty, why do people think that? It's just the same if you put a child in a shopping cart, you have them with you and its to keep them safe. I dont know whats the big deal, just because its the same thing you use as pets doesnt mean its bad or anything. god. They still have freedom, just limited places to go.

The leashes are usually meant for kids who have mental issues. Younger Kids with severe ADHD are extremely impulsive; My younger brother (with ADHD) was nearly hit by a car a while ago because he couldn't control his impulses.

I think it is a good idea. When I was really young I had a thing about running out into the street, so my mom put me on one.
