I hate when people call Harry Potter a children's series. What kind of 9-year-old understands the concept of time travel?
Lot's of kids understand time travel, it's not that hard to understand, just because you might not of been very smart when you were that age doesnt mean no one else is .
I know, and what 9-year-old knows what a Horcrux is?!
I hate it when people tell you that Twilight is more complex than Harry Potter. Hello? Twilight doesn't have over 200 vocab words, does it?
Agree with you there on Twilight, Rose. I hate Twilight, and hate how people compare it to HP.
Thanks #1, but in Harry Potter, you can't undo the past. In normal stuff, you go back and you're the only you there. In Harry Potter, there's two of you, you have to be certified by the government to have a Time Turner (Time travelling device), if your past self spots you, you might die, only about two people can use the Time Turner at once, and HARRY POTTER ROCKS!
Um, I did. I read HP 1-3 in second grade. I was 7 at the time, almost 8.
and i think i started HP 4 the same year
are you kidding? my sister read HP4 in a day in first grade.
I read HP when I was 7, but it's not like I actually understood it. It's a great series because little kids can get into it, but you really need to be older to understand it.
And btw RoseWeasley, you rock! I totally agree about Twilight. :D
Umm number 8, what first grader, who is still learning to read, could finish that in a day? It's sad when people try to act cool over the most dumb things...
#8, ask her what Priori Incantatem is and see if she can answer. Since she read only #4, she'd be confused since Harry makes many references to his past. Also, some of the best lines in the last book are of Ron, Hermione, and Mrs. Weasley swearing. Elementary kids shouldn't be exposed to that. Nobody in elementary school would understand the concepts of Horcruxes, the twin wand connection, open at the close, the Deathly Hallows, the Deluminator in Ron's possession, or chapter thirty-five of the last book. Another note to #8, she probably skimmed through to see where the pictures were.
...I knew what time travel was the first time I watched Star Trek at the age of 4.
