I hate when people say "borrow" when they mean "have". No, you can't borrow a piece of gum; I don't want it back when you're done. You can have a piece, though.

yeah and its the same way with "borrowing" paper. They say can i borrow a piece of paper and im like no but you can have one. I'm serious some people need to think before they speak.

It is possible to borrow paper, you just have to give them another piece later. It's nicer than just taking it.
