I hate when people who spell their name all crazy (I.e. spelling Erica "Erychka") complain about people who don't know them spelling their names wrong. How are they supposed to know?
HAHA! Very true. I moved to an English-speaking country many years ago, and decided to shorten my name from Margarita to Margot. The lady insisted it has to be spelled with a "t". To this day, most people who aren't French spell it without a t, and I don't blame them for it! :P
I think the easiest one to get wrong is the difference between C and K in names.
I just hate names. Case and point, the scene in Mean Girls where the teacher says how much he hates how his sister named her kid Anferny or however it's spelled. Why do you have to be original? Be simple.
yea cept it wasnt MY choice that my parents spelled my name goofy as heckkk! so you cant really blame us for complaining. b/c i am one of "those people" who has a reallllly wierd spelled name.
Eh. This happens even if someone has a normally spelled name. People get my name (Erin) wrong all the time. I don't care though. I just correct them and move on. What really gets me is when people mispronounce names and then ignore corrections.
"Hello Ms. Her-on"
"It's pronounced Hern, it rhymes with fern"
"Oh I'm so sorry Ms. Her-on"
FUCK YOU!
