I hate it when you go to a restaurant with friends and one of them asks you to share a plate with them and they end up eating more than half of the food and you don't want to look greedy so you can't anything.

ask for an extra plate and spoon the food onto their plate so they don't take too much. Otherwise, yeah, good idea since restaurants serve too much anyway.
